Utilizing a thermowell alongside a bimetallic thermometer is highly recommended for applications involving corrosive mediums, high pressure, or rapid flow velocity. This combination provides ideal protection for unarmoured liquid-in-glass test thermometers or similar temperature sensing elements with a maximum diameter of 0.25 inches.

Our 20 gauge bimetallic thermowells not only meet but exceed SAMA specifications, catering to a variety of needs with options including heavy duty, flange, socket weld, and Van Stone models. Constructed from top-grade 316L stainless steel as the standard material, these thermowells typically feature a stepped design up to 1/2 inch in outer diameter, with the exception of the 2½" insertion variant. Straight shank models are also available for added versatility.

Standard process connection sizes encompass 1/2"-14 NPT, 3/4"-14 NPT, and 1"-11 1/2 NPT, with the option for customization to accommodate other sizes as required. Material options include 316L stainless steel (the standard choice), 304 stainless steel, and brass (ASTM B-16), ensuring suitability for various operating conditions.
